TYCO Series TY-B, 2.8, 5.6, and 8.0 K-factor, Upright and Pendent Sprin-klers described in this technical data sheet are standard response, standard coverage decorative 5 mm glass bulb type spray sprinklers designed for use in light, ordinary, or extra hazard, commer-cial occupancies such as banks, hotels, shopping malls, factories, refineries, and chemical plants.
The recessed version of the Series TY-B Pendent Sprinkler, where applicable, is intended for use in areas with a finished ceiling. It uses a two-piece Style 10 (1/2 inch NPT) or Style 40 (3/4 inch NPT) Recessed Escutcheon. The Recessed Escutcheon provides 1/2 inch (12,7 mm) of recessed adjustment or up to 3/4 inch (19,1 mm) of total adjustment from the flush pendant position. The adjustment provided by the Recessed Escutcheon reduces the accuracy to which the fixed pipe drops to the sprinklers must be cut.
An intermediate level version of the Series TY-B Pendent Sprinkler can be obtained by utilizing the Series TY-B Pendent Sprinkler in combination with the Model S2 Shield.

The SHIELD Sprinkler, SD1020, SD1021 (Glass Bulb Type) 3/8″ Standard Orifice, Upright, Pendent and Recessed Pendent, Quick Response, design incorporates state-of-the-art, heat responsive, frangible glass bulb design for prompt, precise operation. The die cast frame is more streamlined and attractive than traditional sand cast frames.
It is cast with a hex-shaped wrench boss to allow easy tightening from many angles, reducing assembly effort. This sprinkler is available in various temperature ratings and finishes to meet many design requirements. The recessed pendent should be utilized with a recessed escutcheon which provides up 3/4″ of adjustments. All sprinklers are manufactured using the time proven Belleville seal used exclusively by all major manufactures to ensure long life and safe operation.

The Reliable Brand, Model GXLO (Extra-Large Orifice) Upright & Pendent Sprinklers are reliable, standard-coverage, standard-response sprinklers designed for pump rooms and other demanding environments, featuring a robust center strut and a soldier-in-compression thermal element for dependable operation.
Approved by FM & UL for both storage and non-storage occupancies, these sprinklers comply with NFPA 13 and other applicable standards when used in hydraulically calculated Control Mode Density Area (CMDA) systems. Available with 3/4-inch NPT or ISO 7-R3/4 threads for new installations (with 1/2-inch NPT or ISO 7-R1/2 threads available for retrofit upright models only), they can be installed using the Model H wrench for unguarded applications. The upright version can also be equipped with a factory-installed water shield for intermediate-level use, while additional water shields, guards, or guard/shield combinations (field- or factory-installed) are available for both upright and pendent models—installation of guarded assemblies requires the Model JV wrench for proper threading into fittings.
