Fire Retardant Paint

Cementitious Paint

Cementitious fire protection is typically applied using specialized spray equipment to safeguard structural steel or concrete against the damaging effects of fire, providing a designated period of fire resistance.

Gypsum-based sprays, often categorized as cementitious, can be used indoors similarly to Portland cement-based sprays. However, most gypsum formulations are not recommended for external or semi-external environments due to limited moisture resistance.

Gypsum-based cementitious fireproofing coatings offer excellent physical properties for interior and architectural applications, delivering up to four hours of fire protection.

  • Water-based.
  • Interior/Exterior* Application.
  • ANSI/UL 263 (ASTM E119).
  • BS 476 Part 21:1987
  • Fire resistance rating: R15 – R180

Intumescent Paint

Intumescent fire-resistant coatings are protective finishes, similar to paint, applied to structural steel components. These coatings may come in various forms, including paints, mastics, or foam composites. Once applied, their final thickness typically ranges from 0.03 inches to 0.50 inches.

The primary function of intumescent coatings is to act as an insulating barrier, protecting steel from high temperatures during a fire. By delaying heat transfer, they help maintain the structural integrity of the steel under fire conditions. Intumescent coatings can offer up to 120 minutes of fire protection, depending on the application and formulation
