Foam & Gas Suppression System

Foam Suppression System

Fire suppression foam is a powerful firefighting agent made by combining foam concentrate, water, and air. When properly mixed, it forms a thick, cohesive blanket that smothers flames by:

  • Coolingthe fire.
  • Blockingoxygen from the fuel source.
  • Suppressingflammable vapors.
  • Creating a barrierbetween the fire and the fuel.

This makes foam suppression systems ideal for controlling fires involving flammable liquids

NAFFCO’s Pre-Piped Vertical Bladder Tank System

A compact, self-contained solution for automatic foam proportioning, the NAFFCO Pre-Piped Vertical Bladder Tank integrates a bladder tank, ratio controller, and pre-assembled piping. It ensures precise foam concentrate injection into water streams—without external power.

Key Features & Operation

  • Bladder Tank Design:Water pressure compresses the bladder, pushing foam concentrate into the system.
  • Automatic Proportioning:As water flows through the ratio controller, it creates a vacuum effect, drawing foam concentrate at the correct ratio.
  • Wide Flow Range:Maintains consistent performance across varying pressures and flow rates.

This system guarantees reliable, energy-free foam mixing for effective fire protection in high-risk environments.

Powder Based EXT

Our pre-engineered dry chemical system rapidly smothers flames with a fine powder layer. The cartridge-operated system features:

  • Automatic fire detection
  • Manual/auto activation
  • Fixed nozzles or hose-line distribution

When triggered, high-pressure gas fluidizes the powder, ruptures the safety disc, and propels extinguishing agent through the network. Fixed nozzles deliver targeted suppression, while manual hose lines allow operator control. Ideal for industrial hazards, this system provides instant fire knockdown by cutting off oxygen and inhibiting chemical reactions. The robust design ensures reliable performance in high-risk environments like machinery spaces, chemical plants, and energy facilities.

NAFFCO provides advanced fire suppression systems for industrial hazards and mobile equipment, offering both local application and total flooding solutions. Our systems include dry chemical (powder) extinguishing options for versatile protection. Key components consist of dry chemical storage tanks, expellant gas cartridges, distribution hoses with nozzles, and manual/automatic activation with detection systems. These robust, configurable solutions deliver rapid, reliable fire suppression for high-risk environments. Ideal for oil & gas, manufacturing, and heavy machinery applications, NAFFCO’s systems ensure optimal safety through precision engineering and adaptable design for spot or full-area coverage. Trusted globally for performance and durability.

Wet Chemical Fire Suppression

Commercial kitchens face extreme fire risks from open flames, hot surfaces, and grease buildup, making them prone to fast-spreading, hard-to-control fires. NAFFCO’s Kitchen Mister System tackles this danger with advanced misting technology, delivering rapid suppression for oil and grease fires before they escalate. As the most effective fixed kitchen fire protection solution available, it quickly extinguishes flames, minimizing damage and downtime. Trusted by fire safety professionals worldwide, the Kitchen Mister System sets the standard for commercial kitchen safety, combining cutting-edge design with reliable performance to protect high-risk cooking environments from devastating fires.

SYSTEM CYLINDERS

The models NF-KS5, NF-KS10, NF-KS15, and NFKS20 cylinders are designated by flow point capacity (so the NF-KS5 supports five (5) flow points) instead of the amount of agent they hold. Recharge is available in 5 and 10 flow point containers, so there’s never a chance of error.

DISCHARGE NOZZLES

All five (5) Kitchen Mister nozzles come equipped with a color identification band: red, blue, green, white, and yellow. This allows for easy identification of the nozzle even when it’s installed in difficult locations, such as a duct or plenum area. The nozzle is also stamped with its model number.

FM 200

As the leading Halon 1301 alternative, FM-200™ has become the global standard for waterless fire suppression, with over 100,000 installations across 70+ countries. This advanced system extinguishes fires in under 10 seconds without residue, protecting sensitive equipment and high-value assets while being safe for occupied spaces.

FM-200™ (HFC-227ea) is an environmentally friendly compound composed of carbon, fluorine, and hydrogen. It works primarily through heat absorption, with additional flame-inhibiting chemical action. Approved by the EPA under its SNAP program, FM-200™ meets NFPA 2001 standards and carries UL/FM certifications, with marine variants available for USCG/ABS compliance.

Ideal for data centers, telecom facilities, and industrial applications, FM-200™ is non-corrosive to metals, plastics, and electronics. Its zero ozone-depleting properties and rapid discharge capability make it the preferred choice for critical infrastructure protection worldwide.

COMPONENTS

  • Cylinders: cylinders are manufactured in accordance with DOT 4BW500 and TC BWM34* standards. *490L cylinder assemblies are only DOT T4BW500 compliant.
  • Valve Assembly: All valves are of the pressure differential design, and will not operate without deliberate actuation. The actuation devices can be removed while under pressure to facilitate functionality testing of the system. It is also equipped with a monitoring Pressure Switch as well as a port to facilitate pneumatic actuation of secondary cylinder assemblies.
  • Cylinder Straps: The cylinder body straps are designed to secure the system assembly during discharge. A single strap is included with all systems up to 103L, while larger systems are equipped with two straps. Systems 490L in size are shipped with two wall mount straps, floor mount straps are available upon request.

INERT Gas

NAFFCOInert® fire suppression system is an engineered system using with fixed nozzle agent and pipe network. NAFFCOInert® systems are designed in accordance with latest edition of NFPA 2001,”Standard on clean agent systems”. This system shall be designed for Class A, Class B & Class C application; it extinguishes fire by reducing residual oxygen concentration to a level that will no longer support combustion. The system can actuate by detection and control equipment for automatic operation along with providing local manual operation when needed.

Basic Uses: NAFFCOInert® fire suppression system is particularly useful for suppressing fires in hazard areas where an electrically non conductive medium is essential or desirable. Where the clean environment and the hazard obstructions require the use of a gaseous agent. It is an ideal replacement agent for Halon 1301 alternative.
